Pastor Cathy Feil was born in Japan to Lutheran missionary parents and lived there for 13 years.  She attended Japanese school K-3rd grade, in which she was the only foreigner in the school.
She got her BA in the History of Ideas from Gettysburg College. She then went into the Lutheran Volunteer Corps.  She attained a Master in Religious Education from Princeton Theological Seminary and her Master of Divinity from Lutheran Theological Seminary of Philadelphia. She has had 4 parishes in Philadelphia, Washington DC, Clinton, MD and now St. John's Rockville. Her special loves in ministry are spirituality and social justice ministry.
