Property

Our property is a place from which we are sent to the world. It is a place in which we worship and educate. It provides a resource we can share with our community. It should not be a substitute for our mission, but it does support our mission.

The semiannual Property Day is held in the fall and spring. It is a day when the many members of St. John’s join together in doing the little things around the building that create the first impression that visitors have of us and also makes us feel good about ourselves when we have a clean, well-ordered property. A facility as busy and as large as St. John’s has many little tasks that need doing so that our budget remains small, but our image is positive. This is a great way to get to know others in the church family. Most jobs are not very strenuous, and all are welcome to contribute time and talent to this task—even one hour of attendance is worthwhile. |
