HIGHLIGHTS OF COUNCIL MEETING - June 3, 2010

*Twelve voting Council members were present.

*Joy-Leilani Garbutt, Youth Director, updated the Council on the Youth activities.

*The Youth will be having a Silent Auction on June 20^th at 6:00 PM followed by a Talent Show at 7:00. This is a fund raiser for the Youth Fund.

*There will be one service on June 13^th at 10:00 AM to show appreciation to the Sunday School/Confirmation Teachers: Kathy Clark, Kathy Deppe, Kate Dolan, Jean Eisenhaur, Tom Hickman, Chris Howard, Donna Shelly, Wayne Shelly, Brian Shilling, Karen Shilling, Martha Wagner, and Roger Weaver.

*Pastor Cathy's last Sunday will be June 13^th. There will be a reception after the service to thank Pastor Cathy for being our Interim Pastor this last year and wish her well in her future ministries.

*The Summer Worship Schedule of Services will be at 9:00 and 10:30 AM beginning June 20^th and continuing through September 5^th, with the exception of July 11^th when there will be one service at 10:00 AM.

*There will be a picnic July 11^th after the service to welcome the Kern family.

*Congratulations to Pastor Magarino on his graduation from Gettysburg Seminary with a Masters Degree in Sacred Theology.

*The request for donations to cover the Pastor-elect Kern's moving expenses is continuing.

*Budget requests from Ministry Teams are due to the Finance Ministry Team by August 1^st.

*Finance Ministry needs Money Counters. If you can help out once a month or every two months, please let Carol Noble know. Training is provided and you will be paired with an experienced counter.

*Worship and Music Ministry needs sound board assistance, particularly at 9:00 AM service. Training will be arranged. Please see Kathy Clark or Martha Basinger if you can help out.

*The July Council meeting will be delayed until July 29^th with no meeting planned in August.
